Adaptik Icons Privacy Policy
This policy explains how the Adaptik Icons Android app ("the app") handles information. The app is published by Adaptik Labs ("we", "us"). If you have any questions, contact us at adaptiklabs@outlook.com.
Summary
- The app does not require an account.
- The app does not contain analytics, advertising, or tracking tools.
- We do not sell your information.
- We only receive information if you choose to send us an icon request or email.
Information processed on your device
To show which apps on your phone have a matching icon, and to let you request missing icons, the app reads the list of apps installed on your device that appear in your launcher. This list is processed only on your device. It is not sent to us or anyone else unless you choose to send an icon request.
Icon requests
If you choose to request icons, the app prepares an email in your email app. Before anything is sent, you can review the email and decide whether to send it. An icon request contains:
- The names, package names, and launcher component names of the apps you selected.
- The current icons of those apps, as image files in a ZIP attachment.
- Your device manufacturer, model, and product name.
- The version of Adaptik Icons you are using.
Because the request is sent by email, we also receive your email address and anything else you add to the message. We use this information only to create and add the requested icons and to reply to you. We delete request emails when they are no longer needed for that purpose.
Internet access
The app uses an internet connection to download icon preview information from GitHub (raw.githubusercontent.com), and to check app settings such as whether icon requests are open from our website (adaptiklabs.github.io, hosted by GitHub Pages). These requests do not include any personal information from the app. Like any website, GitHub may receive technical information such as your IP address as part of these requests. This is handled under the GitHub Privacy Statement.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties, except where required by law.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices and data deletion
You can use the app without sending us any information. If you have sent us an icon request or email and want it deleted, email adaptiklabs@outlook.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If the app changes how it handles information, for example by adding advertising, we will update this policy and its effective date before the change is released.
